Your training at GEMÜ

In your apprenticeship as a Machine and Plant Operator (m/f/d), you will complete a two-year program in which you learn how to set up, operate, and monitor production plants, with a focus on metal and plastics technology. You will acquire theoretical knowledge at the vocational school in Künzelsau and begin your practical training in our training workshop before moving on to the production areas, where you will apply what you have learned directly.

What you will learn with us

  • Basics of manual and machine material processing: this includes filing, sawing, drilling, reaming, thread cutting, turning, milling, grinding, cutting, and forming
  • Handling of raw materials, operating materials, and auxiliary materials
  • Planning, controlling, and optimizing work processes and evaluating results
  • Operation and setup of production facilities
  • Performing preventive maintenance on machines and systems

What's next?

After your training, you will primarily be employed as a specialist for machines and systems in the production and assembly area in production, component assembly, or plastic injection molding.

You will also have the opportunity to continue your training as a tool mechanic (m/f/d), certified technician (m/f/d), technical business administrator (m/f/d), technical specialist (m/f/d) or master craftsman (m/f/d).
