Your training at GEMÜ

During your apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d), you will spend 3.5 years learning how to set up, maintain, and repair mechanical, electronic, and software-controlled systems. You will acquire theoretical knowledge at the vocational school in Öhringen, while at GEMÜ you will gain practical experience that shows you how to get complex systems up and running with system understanding and perseverance.

What you will learn with us

  • Installing and wiring electronic assemblies and operating equipment
  • Testing, measuring, and documenting electronic variables
  • Commissioning and programming control systems and industrial plants
  • Performing functional and safety tests on electrical devices and systems
  • Maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechatronic systems
  • Assembling mechanical components and connecting them
  • Planning and installing pneumatic and electropneumatic control systems
  • Manual and machine material processing: sawing, drilling, turning, milling, grinding, forming

What's next?

After completing your training, you can work in the areas of maintenance, technical service, control engineering, special machine construction, tool production, and assembly.

You will also have the opportunity to continue your training as a technician or master craftsman after your apprenticeship or even complete a degree in a technical field.
