Eastern Regional Sales Manager – Semiconductor/Microelectronics

We are currently seeking a full-time Eastern Regional Sales Manager that would work in our Semiconductor/Microelectronics Division in the USA. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for growing and maintaining sales within an assigned region, including recruiting, training, and development of channel partners within a specified region.

Territory: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Prime responsibility is to achieve sales targets with OEM’s, distribution, and direct accounts and set up new OEM’s, distribution, or direct accounts where required.
  • Develop, market, and sell all GEMÜ product lines to all applicable Semiconductor/Microelectronics/Solar accounts. Those product groups include the sanitary, high purity, industrial, and instrumentation/automation lines.
  • Utilize specialized distribution in conjunction with developing OEM accounts where applicable that offer profitable growth while minimizing conflict through distribution.
  • Oversee distribution partner work at end user and engineering support level.
  • Responsible for identifying, contacting, and developing new accounts. Once account is properly developed, responsible for smooth transition of account to distribution or direct for purchases.
  • Set up seminars/lunch and learns at A&E firms by working with appropriate Product Managers and Team Leader to influence valve specifications and ensure GEMÜ is specified. Follow up with Product Managers and Team Leader to coordinate the specification work, identifying decision makers, and forwarding information to counterparts in sales.
  • Supply a project update list monthly to Team Leader.
  • Submit a travel itinerary/schedule within two weeks prior to traveling.
  • Travel required ~50% of the time building relationships with engineers, end users, distribution partners, and OEM’s following up on opportunities to achieve targeted sales budgets and logging these appointments/visits in the CRM system.
  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain aspects of the marketing plan.
  • Review market trends and analyze competitors and provide information back to Product Managers and Team Leader.
  • Conduct product presentations on site at OEM’s, engineering firms, distribution partners, and end user accounts
  • Analyze and follow up with quotations and specifications for contracts/projects
  • Other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University
  • 3+ years of Outside Sales experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Account Management experience
  • Outside Sales and Account Management experience for the Semiconductor, Microelectronics, or Solar industry.
  • Experience with valve and component system sales of a manufacturers product out in the field via face-to-face interaction and customer service with both potential and existing customers/distribution.

Work Schedule:

Business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Incumbent should be flexible as some early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as determined by business need. Some international travel for training and global meetings may be required.
