Assembly Lead

We are currently seeking a full-time Assembly Lead. The Primary responsibility of this position is to act as a liaison between the assembly department and the Production Manager by leading the assembly department in assembling, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting valves, valve components, and valve control systems in accordance with regulatory requirements using manufacturing operating procedures, assembly drawings, and written/verbal instructions.  Some supervision of others is also required.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Lead department employees by:
    • Managing work schedules/time off requests
    • Evaluating Job performance
    • Establishing Priorities
    • Establishing Individual responsibilities
  • Assemble customer orders
  • Perform in-process inspections
  • Test valves/control systems
  • Maintain/Manage a production schedule within the department
  • Troubleshoot valves with leaking issues or control issues (pneumatic, manual, or electrical) and document processes and results (this can be both in-house and in-field work)
  • Assist in the development of SOP’s
  • Other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of Assembly experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience with technical/mechanical assembly, repair, troubleshooting, and auto mechanics
  • Lead or supervisory experience

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex work instructions in English
  • Ability to successfully communicate with a diverse personnel base is necessary.

Work Schedule:

Business hours are 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Incumbent should be flexible as some early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as determined by business need.
