Resistant and robust valves, measurement and control systems

GEMÜ offers valves, as well as measurement and control components for high temperatures, high pressures and critical working media.

The greatest flexibility in material selection guarantees process and plant reliability, even when working with critical parameters.

A huge variety of valve types and materials

Valve types such as diaphragm valves, globe valves, butterfly valves, ball valves and solenoid valves are used successfully in numerous processes, for example in the field of surface treatment. Both metal and plastic bodies, as well as metal bodies with PFA, PVDF and PP plastic lining are available. The latter combines the media resistance of plastics with the robustness of metal bodies.

GEMÜ 490 high-resistance butterfly valve

With the GEMÜ 490, the company offers a butterfly valve to suit aggressive chemical applications. It is based on the design of concentric soft seal valves and lined with TFM™ (PTFE)/PFA. The GEMÜ 490 is available in the nominal sizes DN 40 to 900 (1½′′ to 36′′) with wafer or lug body.

Product advantages associated with the use of diaphragm valves with plastic lining

Depending on the lining material used: 

  • Full flow bore with viscous liquids, such as slurry and liquids with a high solid or fibre content
  • Prevention of micro-pitting (hydroabrasion) when using abrasive media such as surface water containing sand or lime water for water/waste water treatment
  • High quality, precisely definable geometric features, consistent wall thickness, a high degree of process reliability and excellent reproducibility of the lining thanks to use of the latest plastic injection moulding machines to line the metal bodies
