Enso City

Enso City

A bite of the Big Apple
The painting of the hypercity is reminiscent of huge metropolises like New York. To perfectly round off the scene, the office container has been redesigned as a street diner. The Ensō City mural has been created in an area that previously would not have drawn much attention at all. The office container is the result of our building expansion in Criesbach – at the time, we met our rapidly growing demand for space using office containers while construction work was ongoing. Remembering this period in our history makes the scale of our growth even more staggering. The office container will be redesigned and remain on-site as part of our history.

The Ensō City mural
From a "worm's eye view", we look upwards at various details of a valve, towards tall towers full of light and life. The ensō acts as a target, showing us the way. The process is open and unlimited. You can almost feel the scale of the skyscrapers as they reach higher and further. So much light, so much life, drawing the viewer in.
The mural's dynamic feel comes to life against this energized backdrop.

The ensō: Perfect in its incompleteness.
The ensō is a symbol from classic Japanese calligraphy. It symbolizes enlightenment, strength and elegance, representing both the universe and the void. It is said that drawing the ensō creates a moment in which the creator's consciousness is free; their body and mind are not confined to the creative process. The open ensō is a symbol of the fact that no human creation stands alone; everything we do is part of something greater. Its incomplete openness and imperfection is an essential part of any creative endeavour.
