It was with ingenuity and entrepreneurial foresight that Fritz Müller built up the GEMÜ Group. Shortly before the company's 50th anniversary, he then officially handed over his life's work to the next generation.
The development of the world's first PVC process valve in 1963 provided the impetus for founding GEMÜ. The next generation, comprising son Gert Müller and nephew Stephan Müller, continues to promote new technologies and product ideas with this pioneering spirit.
Whether new-to-market products such as the first single-use diaphragm valve, the GEMÜ SUMONDO, or niche products such as the GEMÜ 650TL for greater safety in the loop, GEMÜ has been able to grow organically through product innovations, individual customer solutions and developing new applications and markets.
"We retain the structure of a family-owned enterprise as a way of safeguarding a secure future for our customers, employees and business partners from generation to generation," explains owner Gert Müller at the time of the handover. Rather than getting investors on board and making acquisitions, GEMÜ will continue to grow through new products and a keen customer focus.
Both managing directors believe strongly in family values – also in relationships at work. As such, great emphasis is placed on respect and appreciation, mutual support and reliability.
