Product Management Specialist - Automation

We are currently seeking a full-time Product Management Specialist – Automation. The primary responsibility of this job is to provide product support related to Automation, Instrumentation, and Controls products, including but not limited to technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting, and communication with customers.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Support Product Management Department with Automation and Instrumentation related inquiries, tasks, and projects.
  • Ability to specify GEMÜ products based on customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Ability to understand and explain datasheets, operating manuals, and work instructions to a diverse base of individuals.
  • Ability to cross-reference competitor’s products to GEMÜ products, providing expert opinion on features & benefits of each.
  • Represent GEMÜ by communicating directly with customers and end users to provide product support, including traveling to job sites to perform hands-on support, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Document product support activities, including customer requests, competitor crossovers, and troubleshooting, through written reports.
  • Assist in producing product literature, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials as needed to support troubleshooting and training.
  • Train customers and peers (Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Personnel and others) through use of collaborative tools and any other means to accelerate adoption of new and existing technologies.
  • Other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of Product Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An accredited degree in Electronic Engineering
  • Basic computer skills

Work Schedule:

Business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Incumbent should be flexible as some early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as determined by business need.
