Projekt Manager

General Description/Purpose:

Join a successfully growing team in a newly developed area off Camp Creek Parkway in Atlanta. We are a valve manufacturer who primarily sells to the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, semiconductor, and water treatment industries. From vaccines to smartphones to coffee, our valves and measurement control systems are used in numerous production processes and play a decisive role in ensuring the quality of our daily lives and our health. The Project Manager will determine and implement the exact needs of the client within the structure of the employer. The ability to adapt to the various internal procedures of the contracting party, and to form close links with the nominated representatives, is essential in ensuring that the key issues of cost, time, quality, and above all, client satisfaction can be realized. Ability to travel, 50%is required. Most importantly, the Project Manager will demonstrate experience in optimizing the allocation and integration of inputs (money, people, materials, energy, communication, motivation, etc.) necessary to meet defined objectives and the project goal. The Project Manager should be familiar with standard project planning and control techniques.

 

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for developing a sales approach to market and sell GEMÜ products on large contractual orders or projects with the appropriate Regional Sales Manager.
  • Plan work according to the objectives.
  • Assess and control risks.
  • Estimate and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Assign tasks and direct activities.
  • Control project execution.
  • Track/report progress and analyze results.
  • Define the products of the project.
  • Manage quality, problem solve, and prevent errors.
  • Identify, manage, and control changes.
  • Finalize projects and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Customize product presentations and project proposals for review at A&E’s or end users.
  • Evaluate and propose commission structure for influential partners.
  • Review commercial terms.
  • Establish payment terms on projects.
  • Keep Head of Project Management, National Sales Manager and Managing Director abreast of operational updates and directives.
  • Perform forecasts and budget analysis.
  • Work on product offerings, develop pricing strategies, distributor review and work with German counterparts in sharing information on global projects.
  • Attend departmental meetings and update attendees on current developments.
  • Perform all job functions of the Project Coordinator, as may be required.
  • Participate in all related job activities as they arise.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1-2 years of Project Management experience
  • Basic computer skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management and Sales experience in a technical market
  • Customer Service skills
  • Highly skilled in the utilization of Microsoft Office and Project Management applications

Work Schedule:

 

Business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Incumbent should be flexible as some early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as determined by business need.
