Quality Assistant

General Description/Purpose:

We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Assistant. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the CSR/RMA processes, non-conforming material processes, root cause/failure analysis, and data trending and to establish quality reports to assist management in quality related decision making.

Job Duties (Including but not limited to):

 

  • Analyze quality complaints both internal and external (customer related).
  • Manage the CSR (customer service reports)
  • Assess non-conforming material trends and defect analysis to determine appropriate corrective action plans.
  • Assist senior management in root cause analysis and resolution of process deviations that could generate product quality problems.
  • Manage objectives and priorities by developing and maintaining customer-focused metrics for internal and external customers.
  • Manage the RMA processes (return material authorizations)
  • Manage transaction of product for RMA and NCMR in Penta
  • Develop and maintain a database of calibrated tools and devices used to measure or verify quality (such as calipers, micrometers, surface profilometers, height gages, etc.)
  • Other duties as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required

Essential Knowledge/Skills:

  • Motivated with high personal integrity and a positive attitude.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse personnel and customer base.
  • Must be a team player yet capable of independent judgment.
  • Familiarity with both English and Metric units of measurement and comfortably convert between the two.
  • Ability to work with an international internal and external customer base.
  • Willingness to maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Adapt to quickly changing situations and sort out conflicting priorities.
  • Product knowledge and understanding of industry customer base is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret numerous measuring instruments, including but not limited to:
  • calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, etc.
  • Ability to create/write workflows, procedures, work instructions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard.
  • Knowledge of measurement devices calibration
  • Should possess strong presentations skills.
  • Proficiency in a variety of software programs, including but not limited to: Word, Excel,
  • PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong mathematical skills are required.
