Der Durchflussmesser GEMÜ 800 arbeitet nach dem Schwebekörperprinzip und verfügt über ein transparentes Messrohr. Die auf das Messrohr aufgedruckte Messskala ist jeweils auf das entsprechende Durchflussmedium abgestimmt. Angespritzte Schwalbenschwanzleisten dienen zur Aufnahme von Sollwert-Zeigern, Grenzwert- und Signaleinrichtungen.
