GEMÜ Brazil celebrates 45-year company anniversary

Since 1981, development has been characterized by proximity to customers, technical expertise and long-term partnerships

In 2026, GEMÜ Brazil is looking back on more than 45 years of activity. Since opening its production site in São José dos Pinhais, the German valve manufacturer has strengthened its local presence in Brazil and South America, boosted its technical expertise and developed relationships with customers spanning many years. The GEMÜ Group would like to congratulate the team on this anniversary and express its gratitude towards all the employees who helped to shape this path. “45 years of GEMÜ Brazil are representative of the strength of our work across the globe. As a group which is active worldwide, we use our expertise and work together with our local teams to develop reliable solutions and establish long-term partnerships in the markets,” explains Gert Müller, CEO and Managing Partner of the GEMÜ Group.

Agda Sielski, Head of Finance at GEMÜ Brazil, confirms the site’s excellent development: “The company has grown, processes have been developed further and technology has changed the way we work. The requirements from the market have also increased steadily. We are tackling these requirements by being an approachable and reliable partner for our customers, taking on responsibility and continually pushing forward our development.”

Global standards, local implementation

GEMÜ Brazil combines the quality standards and experience of the German group with local knowledge of the Brazilian market, technical support and close customer contact. “For 45 years, we have been building long-term relationships, further developing our engineering expertise and directing our focus towards innovation and high quality. The anniversary recognizes all we have achieved together, while looking ahead to the next chapter,” says Fabiano Gemin, CEO of GEMÜ Brazil. The company manufactures valves and high-tech equipment at the São José dos Pinhais site. The Industrial business unit supplies the steel, mining and fertilizer sectors, among others, as well as companies integrating energy generation systems. The PFB (Pharmaceutical, Food and Biotechnology) business unit offers solutions for sterile systems, for example for producing vaccines and drugs or for food and drinks packaging.

Making GEMÜ service available worldwide

In May 2026, GEMÜ further established its local presence with a new service hub in Curitiba, working in tandem with the Brazilian team. With this second of three international service hubs so far, the company has established processes for returns, complaints and service jobs, expanded its service workshop and trained local service specialists. The service hub complements existing structures and strengthens technical support for the Brazilian market. “With the expansion of our service hub in Brazil, we are growing even closer to our customers while broadening our local service expertise. At the same time, we are investing in an international network that shares knowledge within the GEMÜ Group and supports customers throughout the entire life cycle of their products,” explains Stephan Gehrig, who is also responsible for the GEMÜ Group subsidiaries in his role as CSMO.
