La membrane GEMÜ code 54 est composée d'une feuille PTFE et d'un support en EPDM réticulé par ajout d'un peroxyde qui sont reliés l'un à l'autre (vulcanisés). Un support en FKM pour les fluides à fort pouvoir de diffusion est également disponible (GEMÜ code 56). La membrane réunit ici tous les avantages du PTFE et la flexibilité d'une membrane élastomère. Pour optimiser le système complet, la feuille PTFE ainsi que le support de la membrane sont conçus pour GEMÜ et fabriqués dans le groupe GEMÜ.
