Industrial water treatment

Solutions for water treatment, recovery and supply

Industrial water treatment

The availability of process water plays an important role in industry since virtually every production process requires water. Whether it is for cooling, cleaning or as a starting material for aqueous solutions – depending on the application, the unwanted substances must be removed from the raw water or the desired substances added.

This task is performed by water treatment plants, thus ensuring a functioning circuit. The GEMÜ product range can provide reliable solutions for components for measurement and control systems for these plants.

A huge variety of valve types and automation components

Durable, robust and optimised for their specific use: GEMÜ produces and supplies butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, globe and control valves, ball valves, as well as components for plant and plant sections for industrial water treatment.

Examples of processes employing GEMÜ valves, measurement and control systems:

  • Treatment of drinking water via ultra-filtration, ion exchangers or UV disinfection
  • Treatment of process water in the chemical, metal and maritime industry
  • Treatment of waste water in electroplating
  • Control and regulation of heavily contaminated sea, river and brackish water
  • Control and regulation of cooling and heating circuits

Reliable use for drinking water

At GEMÜ, we only use carefully selected materials and our quality management system ensures continuous monitoring. External institutes such as the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water), ACS (Certificate of Sanitary Conformity), WRAS (UK Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), Belgaqua and, for applications in the maritime industry, DNV-GL, also testify this quality.

Product advantages associated with the use of plastic and metal butterfly valves
