Setting the closing and opening limit for GEMÜ 660

A valve for filling processes is mostly exposed to very high switching cycles. The wearing parts, above all the diaphragm, are subjected to extreme mechanical loads. The GEMÜ 660 diaphragm valve has been specially designed for fast and high pulse frequencies and therefore has a closing limiter (travel stop) and opening limiter as standard. The travel stop can be used to adjust the closing force to the existing operating pressure. This means that the diaphragm is not exposed to the highest closing force of the actuator for every closing process and is protected accordingly. By contrast, the opening limiter is used to set the opening stroke. This limits the required volumetric flow. The mechanical load of the shut-off diaphragm is also optimized as a result of this. The video shows in detail the individual steps that are indispensable for setting the closing and opening limit. If you change the diaphragm at a later point in time, you must once again check and, if necessary, readjust the closing and opening position. Further information and practical tips are provided by the GEMÜ training team in a number of training courses.
