Butterflyventil: Anvendelsesområder og brancher

De vigtigste anvendelsesområder for GEMÜ butterflyventiler er industriapplikationer, den kemiske industri samt vandindvinding og vandbehandling. Som standard fås den centriske og den enkelt-excentriske konstruktion. Til projekter fås på forespørgsel også dobbelt-excentriske og tredobbelt-excentriske lukkearmaturer. Vha. tilpassede reguleringskomponenter som indikatorer samt stillings- og procesregulatorer kan GEMÜ butterflyventiler også anvendes i reguleringskredsløb.

Butterflyentiler: Ventilprincip

Den centriske butterflyventil består af et ringformet hus, hvor der er indsat en ringformet elastomer-liner/manchet. Et spjæld, som styres af en aksel, drejer med en 90° drejebevægelse ind i lineren. Afhængigt af udførelse og indvendig diameter kan der lukkes for driftstryk op til 25 bar og temperaturer op til 210 °C. Butterflyventilerne anvendes oftest til mekanisk rene væsker, men med den rigtige materialekombination er heller ikke let slibende medier, gasser eller dampe noget problem. 

På grund af de mange materialemuligheder kan butterflyventilen anvendes universelt til f.eks. utallige industriapplikationer, vand- og drikkevandsbehandling samt kyst- og offshore-områder. Butterflyventilen er ofte også et prisgunstigt alternativ til andre ventilkonstruktioner, når der ikke er behov for høje krav til omskiftningscyklusser, hygiejne eller reguleringspræcision. I større indvendige diametre over DN 150 er butterflyventilen ofte det eneste lukkearmatur, der kan anvendes. Ved højere krav til kemisk bestandighed eller hygiejne er det muligt at anvende en butterflyventil med liner af PTFE eller TFM. Kombineret med et rustfrit stålspjæld med PFA-kappe er den egnet til meget aggressive medier i kemi- eller halvlederindustrien, med poleret rustfrit stålspjæld kan den også anvendes inden for fødevare- eller farmakologi-området.

Til det nævnte ventilprincip tilbyder GEMÜ mange typer tilpasset tilbehør til automatisering og procesoptimering. Elektriske indikatorer, stillings- og procesregulatorer samt sensorteknik og måleapparater opbygges, indstilles og integreres hurtigt i den eksisterende processtyringsteknik.
